Resource Directory: Linux Resources
A fractious and anarchic worldwide community, a movement, a philosophy, an experiment, a computer operating system core … take your pick. Linux can workably be viewed as any of these. Ultimately your freedom to enjoy a quality personal computing experience free from being monitored and controlled may depend on your moving from Microsoft’s insecure, bloated and expensive OS to an alternative, of which Linux (along with the cousin OS family, the BSDs) is the current leader and is experiencing rapidly-growing acceptance and use. There are literally countless Linux resources out there. Here are a few to help one get started.
